The ability to get on and off the floor is a vital component of aging because it plays a big role in independence. Sometimes, it is the determining factor in whether or not you can safely continue living at home. Even if you are currently having issues getting off the floor, we hope this workshop series will provide you with the training and strategies you need to restore your ability to get on and off the floor.
The Floor Fitness Workshop Series was designed to help people gain the strength, flexibility, and confidence they need to get on and off the floor with ease. You will work closely with a physical therapist in a group setting to get comfortable in any position on the floor, learn personalized modifications and strategies to get on and off the floor, and practice exercises specific to your limitations that will maximize your strength and independence.
This Workshop Is Perfect For People Who:
This workshop series is a six week program. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and will require your physical participation. Participant to instructor ratio is 4:1.

- Lesson 1: Sitting - practicing various comfortable sitting positions on the floor.
- Lesson 2: Hands and knees - practicing exercises to strengthen your body.
- Lesson 3: Laying down - practicing laying on your belly and back.
- Lesson 4: Vertical Transitions - practicing moving up and down from the floor.
- Lesson 5: Horizontal Transitions - practicing moving across floor.
- Lesson 6: Flows - putting all the moves together.
