Babs - 73
from Fenton, MO |
I love it here at HouseFit because I feel like they understand the needs of people our age. They take our limitations individually. I might be in a group class, but they know that if I can't do something - it's okay and they work around it and give me an alternative way of doing it.
I like the fact they are Doctors of Physical Therapy. I've already seen improvement in muscle tone that I had lost due to some surgeries. I'm able to go up steps now with both legs, instead of one-legged. I think that's super important as we get older because of our limitations. |
Ellie - 76
from Chesterfield, MO |
Ellie has always been an independent lady, physically active and on the move. She began to notice she was slowing down and not as confident as she once was about being able to live by herself, something that she's been doing for the last 25 years. She was scheduled for a knee replacement surgery and starting working with a Physical Therapist at HouseFit before the surgery.
The strength and balance improvements that Ellie made before the surgery made a huge difference in her recovery. The hospital staff were amazed at her abilities so soon after the procedure. Ellie felt well prepared for what to expect after her surgery, especially with the exercises that she needed to be doing immediately afterward. Pre-Hab at HouseFit helped Ellie have the best chance of success for a speedy recovery after knee replacement surgery. She put in the hard work and she's seeing those results now. |
