"When I first got a referral to Beth and HousePT due to a bad fall I was at low ebb, physically and emotionally. After her first visit, I was on my way to recovery with a daily plan. She listens carefully to each person’s goals and then explores ways to achieve them, while also gently suggesting ideas for even better posture, balance and strength. I am so grateful to have found her.
Furthermore, she showed me, right in my own home, the best places to do certain exercises safely, using things I had on hand. With her expertise, experience, and positive energy, she has given me a blueprint to move into my late 70’s and beyond with health and wholeness to the greatest degree possible. No wonder I am singing her praises!"
"Beth is friendly, warm and has a thorough knowledge of the challenges facing someone with Parkinson’s Disease who, like me, has freezing and gate issues which not only make it difficult to start and continue walking even a few feet but also makes falling an unfortunate fact of life.
On her first visit, Beth assessed my living situation and made suggestions which made it easier for me to move around the house and resume doing some activities, like barbecuing, that I had stopped doing because I was afraid of falling. With every visit, Beth had me do things that increased my strength and balance. I still freeze, but I am more independent and less reliant on my spouse to help me get in and out of my chair and move around the house. Falling remains a risk, but I now expect to go weeks rather than days between falls.
The benefit of in-home therapy for me has been learning techniques for dealing with my issues in the environment in which I live every day. Beth makes it easy because she is always on time, never is in a hurry or rushed, and promptly submits my claims to Medicare. Beth is simply the best!"
