BalanceWear® Vest
In addition to treatments, we offer and recommend different products to help you outside of HouseFit’s care. This includes products that improve balance. BalanceWear is a wearable garment that helps individuals become more stable with sitting, standing and walking. It is for people with difficulty moving due to poor balance and for individuals with frequent falls. We can customize each BalanceWear Vest for the patient. An assessment is performed by a BalanceWear trained therapist to determine where to strategically put very light weights in order to correct balance. While wearing the BalanceWear Vest, many individuals have experienced positive changes in their balance, their mobility and their confidence.

Look What Others Are Saying About Balance Treatments From HouseFit...
Lee - 78
from Columbia, IL |
I have struggled with neuropathy for 15 years and have difficulty with my balance. I have been to other physical therapists, podiatrists, and chiropractors for relief. I have never gotten any and have never felt like the professional I was seeing really understood my difficulties. That all changed when I went to HouseFit.
I now feel more confident when walking inside the hockey rink and going up in the stands while watching my son's game. I'm able to spend time outside working in my rose garden, walking on uneven ground and not getting so tired. I'm more encouraged than I ever have been before. |

My balance was terrible. I was having falls. I couldn't get up from the ground and I was having trouble rising from a chair. I felt that my world was getting smaller around me because I was afraid of falling. I came across an article that Dr. Beth wrote in the "Concord Call" and she captured my feelings exactly. It was like she crawled into my head and knew what I was thinking.
I'm sure there are people who feel they can't afford therapy. I don't understand how you can't. It's more affordable than a fall. YOU are important... Take care of yourself! Put yourself first! Don't let your world get smaller because you're afraid of falling. |
